Terms of Use
The terms, in plain language.
VeriCommand is a free-to-install tool that helps you govern and observe the work of AI coding agents. These terms cover what you can do with it, what it does and doesn't promise, and the ground rules for the optional hosted features.
Accepting these terms
By installing or using VeriCommand — the flightdeck-connect package, the MCP server, the desktop console, or this website — you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you are using VeriCommand for an organization, you accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not install or use VeriCommand.
What VeriCommand is — and what it is not
VeriCommand is a governance and observability layer for AI coding agents: it records what agents did on a tamper-evident local ledger, surfaces the next valid move, checks scope against git, and reports liveness and cost. It is a tool to help you see and decide — not a guarantee that your agents' output is correct, complete, secure, or safe. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving the work your agents produce. VeriCommand makes checking cheaper and honest; it does not remove the need to check.
Your licence to use it
VeriCommand is proprietary software, free to install and run as distributed. Subject to these terms, NorthGate Strategic LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it. You may not:
- redistribute, resell, sublicense, or host it as a service for others;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source beyond what applicable law allows;
- remove or alter any copyright, patent, licence, or attribution notices;
- use the name or branding to imply endorsement without written permission.
This is a licence to use, not a transfer of ownership. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Acceptable use
Use VeriCommand lawfully. You are responsible for the board folder you choose, what you put into packets, and how you act on what VeriCommand reports. Do not use it to violate others' rights or applicable law.
Optional hosted features
The core is local-first (see the Privacy Policy). Some features — SSO sign-in, AIREC governance services, auto-audit, automation webhooks, and any hosted board or web app — are off by default and operator-enabled. If you turn them on, they require an account or token, are governed by these terms plus any feature-specific terms presented at enablement, may carry fees, and may be changed or discontinued. What each transmits is described where you enable it.
No warranty
VeriCommand is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every issue in your agents' work.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorthGate Strategic LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of VeriCommand. Our total liability for any claim relating to VeriCommand will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the specific feature giving rise to the claim in the prior twelve months, or US $100.
Intellectual property
VeriCommand, its design, and all related intellectual property are owned by NorthGate Strategic LLC. The governed-engineering architecture is U.S. patent pending (incl. App. No. 19/765,031). "VeriCommand", "AIREC", and "TrustSHIELD" are marks of NorthGate Strategic LLC.
Changes
We may update VeriCommand and these terms. When we change these terms, we will update this page and its effective date; material changes will be called out, not buried. Continuing to use VeriCommand after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
You may stop using VeriCommand at any time. We may suspend or end your licence if you breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
